 Shorai No Tane  Orange Belt - Signifies That The Belt Color Is Know As “Future Seed.”  Seed Planted Will Mature In
   Juku Shita Hito Tsubu   Yellow Belt - Signifies That The Belt Color Is Known As “Maturing Grain.”  This Marks The Last Level For Beginners And Starts     New Level As Intermediate. Yellow also represents sunlight that the plant needs for it to grow. 
 Shi N Me   Green Belt - Signifies That The Belt Color Is Known As “New Sprout.”  Plant Sprouts Out Of The Ground.
 Sora Ni Mu KTte Blue Belt - Signifies That The Belt Color Is Known As Plant Grows “Towards The Sky.”  Blue Also May Represent Receiving Of Water [Of Knowledge].
Utsukushii   Hana  Purple Belt - Signifies That The Belt Color Is Known As “Beautiful Flower” As Plants Blooms Its True Colors, So Does The Practitioner.  Marks The Last Level For Intermediate And Starts New Level As Advanced.
 Abunai     Red Belt - Signifies “Danger.”  Practitioner Must Learn To Control His Or Her Techniques.  As Plant Grows Towards Darkness Of The Sun, It Must Be Cautious Or It Will Burn Up!    
 Jobu Na Ne Brown Belts - Signifies That The Belt Color Is Known As “Strong Roots”  As The Tree’s Roots Grow Strong And Deep The Practitioner’s Proficiency grows Strong And Deep.  Practitioner Has Gained Some Control Over His Or Her Techniques.

 JEET KUNE DO/FIVE ANIMAL KUNG FU SASHES

 White Sash = signifies a birth, or beginning, of a seed. A white belt student is a beginner searching for knowledge of the Art. The white belt is the

beginning of life's cycle, and represents the seed as it lies beneath the snow in the winter

 

 Yellow Sash = signifies the first beams of sunlight which shines upon the seed giving it new strength with the beginning of new life. A yellow sash student

 is given his first ray of knowledge, opening his mind, from his instructors.

 

 Orange Sash =  represents the growing power of the sun as it warms the seed and earth to prepare for new growth in the spring. The orange sash

student starts to  feel his/her body and mind open and develop.

 

 Green Sash = signifies the growth of the seed as it sprouts from the earth reaching toward the sun and begins to grow into a tree. A green sash student

learns to strengthen and refine his/her techniques

 

 Blue Sash =  signifies the blue sky as the tree continues to grow toward it. A blue sash student moves up higher in rank just as thetree grows taller. The

 light feeds the tree so it can continue to grow. The student is fed additional knowledge of the Art in order for his/her body and mind continue to grow and

develop

 

 Purple Sash = represents a winter sunset and the continuous growth of the tree,  as once again the student undergoes  more changes and prepares

for the transition to advanced student.

 

 Brown Sash =  represents  the advanced maturing of the tree. A brown sash student is an advanced student whose techniques  are beginning to mature,

 and the brown sash is beginning to understand the fruits of his hard work as a beginner.

 

 Red Sash = signifies the red-hot heat of the Sun as the tree continues growing toward it. As a red sash student acquires more detailed knowledge, just as

 the tree grows slowly toward the Sun, so the red sash student learns to be more cautious with his knowledge and physical abilities. Red is a sign of danger,

and the red sash is beginning to become dangerous with their knowledge and abilities.

 

 Black Sash = signifies the darkness beyond the Sun. A Black Sash seeks new, more profound knowledge of the Art. As the Black Sash begins to teach others, the Black

Sash plants new seeds and helps them grow and mature. The Black sash students, many whom will form roots deep into the Art, blossom and grow through the ranks in a never-

ending process of self-growth, knowledge, and enlightenment.

 First Degree Black Sash = The Celestial Dragon (Tien-lung)The Celestial Dragon protects the places of the Gods
 Second Degree Black Sash = The Spiritual Dragon (Shen-Lung) The Spiritual Dragon controls the wind and the rain
 Third Degree Black Sash = The Earth Dragon (Ti-Lung) The Earth Dragon controls rivers, and water on the Earth
